MEANING:

  • If you drop somebody off you take somebody in your car and leave them somewhere.
  • If you drop something off you deliver something somewhere.

OPPOSITE: drop off X pick up

  • Because it was raining heavily, I got in a taxi.

MEANING

GET IN, Get something IN: to enter or go inside.

HOW MUCH YOU LEARN

Two sentences are not correct. Can you find them?

1. She got in her car and drove away.

2. After a long walk, I got in a chair and relaxed.

3. He couldn’t get in the office as he forgot to take his keys.

4. My sister got in her bike and went away.
