to talk about factual statements. (general truths)

to refer to arranged future
The ÜDS examination starts at 9 o’clock tomorrow.
I have to catch the plane. It takes off at 3.
Our clients are meeting us at the airport tomorrow.

COMMON TENSE MARKERS
